Just Add Water: Port of Baltimore

Under the Key Bridge

Year: 2012
Location: Baltimore, MD, USA
Description: Four massive Neo-Panamax cranes heading to the Port of Baltimore make it under Baltimore’s 185-foot tall Francis Scott Key Bridge. The cranes were so large they had to travel at half-staff to fit under bridges. The Port of Baltimore is one of only a few U.S. East Coast ports with the necessary water depth and infrastructure to accommodate today’s supersized container ships.
