Description: Georgia Ports handles breakbulk and project cargo at Ocean Terminal in Savannah, Georgia and Mayor’s Point in Brunswick, Georgia. Ocean Terminal has five deepwater berths on 207 acres with ample paved and indoor storage providing flexibility, rapid market access and capacity to grow.

More than 11 shipping lines specializing in breakbulk cargo connect the Port of Savannah’s Ocean Terminal with markets around the world. Ocean Terminal processes a wide variety of cargo. The facility handles forest and solid wood products, steel, automobiles, farm equipment and heavy-lift cargoes.

Ocean Terminal also features a wide range of heavy lift cranes, including a barge-mounted crane with 500 short-ton lift capacity, a gantry crane with 100 short-ton lift capacity, and 21 forklifts with capacities from 5,000 to 70,000 pounds.

Mayor’s Point Terminal has 1,750 feet of deepwater berthing on 22 acres, including an adjacent 355,000 square-foot warehouse served by covered rail to process products quickly, efficiently and securely.

At Mayor’s Point Terminal, two Class I railroads – the CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern – have direct service. Georgia Ports’ customers enjoy direct interstate access to manufacturing points throughout the U.S. Southeast.

Ocean Terminal in Savannah is served direct by the Norfolk Southern Railroad, the CSX Transportation connect via the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
