The region’s largest trade event for the project cargo and breakbulk industry

Risk Management for Project Cargo

8 October 2019 • 08:30 - 17:00 • GRBCC, 3rd Floor, Room 370B

This intermediate level, one-day workshop will be presented by a certified risk manager working in the project cargo coverage sector. The intricacies of risk management for project cargo provides many opportunities for mistakes or inaccuracies, which can lead to significant financial loss. Beyond their inherent value, the damage or loss of big project pieces can cost many times their replacement value in project delays and business interruption. Capacity needs of larger projects require more than one insurer to cover the project, resulting in complexities that can be extremely challenging to the project manager and others involved in the project.

This course will cover all of the major elements of risk management for the project team, including cargo owners/managers, freight forwarders, carriers and other transport companies. You will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the nature of risk management and how to apply the course principles to your role on the team.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Breakbulk Events & Media
